BBQ Plaza or BarBQ Plaza at 1 Utama

October 1, 2009 by Apple Foodees 2 Comments

Thailand based BBQ Plaza Restaurant currently ranks first in my list of good barbecue plus steamboat. Not only their food is good, their advertisement is too. Just look out for their video advertisement they show on the television placed just outside of their outlets.

Their menu is actually quite simple. It is the usual stuffs that we can get in any other barbeque plus steamboat restaurant. The specialty here is their sauce.

BBQ Plaza - Thai Barbeque Plaza

The brown sauce has a “peanuty” taste. It is quite similar to satay sauce, but at the same time it is not a satay sauce. The sauce is served alongside with lots of chili padis, chopped garlics and half a piece of lemonade. Do feel free to add the sauce if you need more. I alone refilled my sauce 3 times!

BBQ Plaza - Shop Front

There are many sets available namely seafood, beef, and etc. As we would like to try every available thing they have, we ordered the Deluxe Family Set at RM49.90. If you prefer to order your own selections, you may choose them from the ala-carte menu.

BBQ Plaza - Beef

Rice is included in all their set menus but it is according to the number of persons who order the set. As there were 3 of us, they gave us 3 complimentary bowls of rice. I guess if you have 4 persons, they will give you 4 bowls instead. Can anyone clarify this?

BBQ Plaza - Prawn

Our set includes Sirloin, Choice Beef, Australian Lamb, pork, Bacon, Salmon, Fish Fillet, Chicken, Squid, Shrimp, Jelly Fish, Green Tea Taufu, Fish Mushroom… etc… (see below)

BBQ Plaza - Deluxe Family Set

Thai BBQ Plaza Restaurant doesn’t gives butter or margerine but they supply pork fat as the source of oil. Rub it over the hot plate and pour the soup around the hot plate. As the meat is cooking, its flavour would then gather at the bottom into the soup. At first, the soup may taste bland, but after a few rounds of barbeque it gets better and better.

BBQ Plaza - Cooking

Bar B Q Plaza is located in 1 Utama Shopping Centre, Lot F338A, 1st Floor, Rainforest Zone.
