SOULed Out Ampang is a good place for you to hang out with your family and friends. There are 4 separate kitchens in SOULed Out, the Asian Kitchen, Western Kitchen, Northern Indian Kitchen and Pizza Kitchen. The kitchens doesn’t overlap with each other and therefore every food that comes out from each kitchen are cooked by chefs specially trained in that specific cuisine.
It is a no brainer that this is the best place to go with a bunch of good ol’ colleagues and friends. There are variety and separate kitchens in SOULed Out to cater to the different preferences of each hungry diners. Further, you can also look at their food and drinks menus before coming too.
We have been to SOULed Out in Desa Sri Hartamas several times. We are not aware of the existence of SOULed Out in Ampang until recently. For your information, there are 4 SOULed Outs in Malaysia SOULed Out KL at Desa Sri Hartamas, SOULed Out Ampang at Menara HSC, Jalan Ampang, SOULed Out Bangsar South and SOULed Out Kota Kinabalu at KK Times Square Phase 2, Sabah.
Pizza Kitchen
We always find ourselves ordering a pizza from their Pizza Kitchen. That is because pizza is great for sharing. That night, we had the Sake San Pizza. It is a Japanese influence pizza. It basically comprise of fresh salmon slivers, roe, cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, Japanese mayo, lollo roso and a hint of wasabi. It came thin crusted with generous amount of toppings, so much so that you can’t even see the pizza dough.
Northen Indian Kitchen
We ordered the Sizzling Lamb Cutlet from their Northern Indian menu. This is by far, one of the best dish we’ve had so far at SOULed Out. The lamb cutlets were marinated with special Indian herbs, served on sizzling plate. It also came with some free plain naan. This is highly recommended for those of you who love Indian food. We spoke to the manager at SOULed Out Ampang and even he love it.
Western Kitchen
We also ordered their Sirloin Steak, juicy Australian beef served with roasted potatoes and vegetables of the day (we had the bell peppers and carrots). Even though the sirloin steak comes with some gravy, but it is good on its own. You can specify the doneness of your meat and choose your gravy from 4 different choices – peppercorn, mustard, garlic or mushroom.
Asian Kitchen
The dish that attracted our attention that evening was the Sang Har Meen. We ordered the Sang Har Meen and were very happy with it. The ‘Sang Har’ came in 1.5 portions and straight away, we knew that it was fresh as the flesh peeled off easily from its shell. Taste wise, it would be better if there is a tad more salt in it.
SOULed Out only use Haagen-Dazs ice creams and being a big fan of Haagen-Dazs, its an easy pick on the dessert menu for us. We picked the SO Jumbo Banana Split. It comes with 3 scoops of Haagen-Dazs ice creams, ripe banana and topped with chocolate sauce, corn flakes, chocolate sticks and whipped cream.
Overall, we had a great time at SOULed Out Ampang and will definitely come back for more.
