Are you tired of the eateries around your office area because they serve the same thing every day? Do you wish that there are more choices and it also comes with an affordable price?
Well, folks working around Jalan Dungun, Kuala Lumpur, I have great news for you.

A few days ago, I received a message from Aileen, a student of HELP University. She informed me that she is currently working on a marketing project with Sikit Atas Restaurant and Bar – @SikitAtas.Com and would like to invite me there for a review on the newly opened restaurant. Since it is the Chinese New Year and she needed help for her project, I said yes. So she set me up to meet with Sikit Atasâ Manager, Ericka who had kindly agreed to give a brief introduction on Sikit Atas.

Sikit Atas is a casual dining restaurant and bar which serves Asian, Western and North Indian Food. Among the first questions I asked Ericka was âWhy the name, Sikit Atas whether the meaning it carriesâ And her reply was this – the owners, who are by the way are chefs, named their restaurant âSikit Atasâ partly because the restaurant is located a few steps higher from the road but mainly the reason for the name is because they use higher quality ingredients and spices. The owners wishes to bring a variety of good food with affordable prices to cater to the middle income earners.
So for starters, we ordered their Creamy Pumpkin and Grilled Shrimp. Priced at RM12.00, our starter comes with creamy pumpkin soup, grilled shrimp and slices of garlic toasted bread. Smooth and creamy is how I would describe the soup. Taste wise, it was good. The creamy pumpkin soup, grilled shrimp and garlic bread complement each other very well.
We also ordered the starter, Last Minute Chefâs Salad which is basically a combination of mesclun mixed, slices of chicken, cheese, seasoned octopus (Yes, you read it correctly, Octopus!), turkey ham and eggs â priced at RM18.00. Take a look at the picture, it comes in a large portion. The portion is good for sharing for at least two people. The Last Minute Chefâs Salad is not the normal chicken caesar salad you would find elsewhere but a chicken caesar salad with seasoned octopus.
I personally feel that the name Last Minute Chef’s Salad doesn’t do justice to this dish at all. It certainly doesnât look last minute at all. It looks like a lot of effort put in making this dish perfect. I was informed that the chef actually made the dressings themselves. Great stuff â it goes very well with the chicken caesar salad with seasoned octopus.
For main course, Ericka recommended us to try Sikit Atasâ Wood Fired Chicken Tikka Pizza. A small 10-inch thin crusted pizza is priced at RM 20.00 whereas the larger 15-inch ones are priced at RM30.00. For those of you who love pizza and beers, Sikit Atas is having a promotion and from 12pm to 6pm everyday. Buy a tower beer and get a small pizza for free. Buy 3 pints of beer and you will get a large pizza for free.
Wanting to try more stuffs from Sikit Atasâ North Indian Food menu, we ordered their Chicken Makhanwala served with chana (chickpeas) masala and salad â RM 24.00. I personally love this dish the most simply because of the rich and creamy gravy. The Chicken Makhanwala is packed with flavors and it goes very well with the flatbread, naan.
As for desserts, we were informed that all the desserts are made in-house. They are all made by the chefs themselves and no outsourcing of the desserts are involve at all. Sikit Atasâ claims that their desserts are a class slightly above the rest as they use premium ingredients. For ice creams, they only uses Haagen-Dazs ice creams. One of Sikit Atasâ signature dessert is the Classic Bread Butter Pudding @ RM16.00 which is basically croissant butter pudding served with custard sauce and Haagen-Dazs ice cream.
For drinks, they have a variety of drinks from coffees, fresh juices, and smoothies to cocktails, beers and others. They have many different types of drinks in their menu. This is their Strawberry Smoothie.
Since they are still quite new, they have quite a lot of promotion running concurrently. Here is another happy hour promotion by Sikit Atas.
