Sangkaya is famous for coconut ice cream. Sangkaya’s coconut ice cream is served on a coconut shell with free flow toppings such as chocolate chips, kidney beans, corns, roasted peanuts, nestum cereals, cornflakes, Hershey liquid chocolates and etc. Coconuts are one of the most nutritious and versatile fruits and have been a staple food to many island and Asian countries for centuries. I have never come across coconut ice cream before I had my first try of coconut ice cream at the Chatuchak Market in Bangkok, Thailand a few years back.
Coconut Ice Cream is becoming increasingly popular among the locals here. The coconut ice cream doesn’t come cheap though. We ordered their Signature @ RM10.50, which consist of 4 small scoops of coconut ice cream on fresh coconut with free flow toppings.
For your information, they don’t only serve coconut ice cream but also Thai Ice Milk Tea Ice Cream. I did not try this but I guess it should taste like how a normal ice milk tea should taste like.
