NU Sentral Mall Food Guide – 9 Things To Eat

April 25, 2017 by Apple Foodees Leave a Comment

This is NU Sentral Mall Food Guide.

In conjunction with the 3rd Anniversary of NU Sentral Mall, we were invited to sample some of the many restaurants in NU Sentral Mall. There are many restaurants in NU Sentral Mall and it is impossible to sample all in one day.

NU Sentral Mall, KL Sentral

Disclaimer : This is not the ultimate NU Sentral Mall Food Guide. But you may refer to this list to plan what to eat at NU Sentral Mall.

1. The Gravy Factory

The Gravy Factory - Hainanese Chicken Chop

The name “GRAVY”, symbolizes the importance of kuah in The Gravy Factory’s food offerings as the essence of this cuisine lies in the GRAVY, the soul of good food. There is a variety of gravy they offer here and not only the gravy tastes good, their food – in particular their Hainanese Chicken Chop – is very good as well. The Gravy Factory is located right on top of NU Sentral Mall and is quite difficult to spot them if you don’t look at the directory of the Mall.

Read more about them here: The Gravy Factory

2. Milkshake Factory

Milkshake Factory NU Sentral - Kit Kat Milkshake

Milkshake Factory is probably the best place to go to for your milkshake fix. You know the feeling when you walk into the Duty free chocolate shop at the airport? That feeling of wanting to buy each and every one of those delicious premium and normal chocolates? That’s how I felt when step into Milkshake Factory that afternoon. Kit Kat Milkshake, Ferrero Roucher Milkshake, Mars Milkshake, Snickers Milkshake, Nutella Milkshake, there are so many different milkshake choices here.

Since Milkshake Factory is located right next to GSC Cinema on the 4th floor of NU Sentral Mall, I wonder if customers can bring their milkshake into the cinema. Read more about them here: Milkshake Factory

3. BUILT Custom Burgers

Built Custom Burgers - Customised Burgers

BUILT Custom Burgers is a premium and customizable burgers from The Counter. There are 2 versions to BUILT Custom Burgers. You may choose either to have it in a burger form where the burger patty, the vegetables and sauces are stacked up and sandwiched in between 2 pieces of buns or to have it in a bowl.

If you wish to create your own burger using only ingredients that you like, BUILT Custom Burgers is the place for you. Since I’m not into all this since I have a lot of decision to make every single day, picking and choosing up to the little details of what goes into my burger, I ended up asking the lady behind the counter to choose for me.

4. Sushi Tei Japanese Restaurant

Kirishima - 18 pieces seafood sushi

Sushi Tei Japanese Restaurant is a franchise restaurant with about 12 outlets in Malaysia alone. I’ve never been to Sushi Tei before as I have the impression based on their name, ‘Sushi Tei’ that they specialize in sushi. They do have an extensive menu for sushi but they also have many other items on their menu such as sashimi as well.

5. The Manhattan Fish Market

The Manhattan Fish Market - Flaming

The Manhattan Fish Market needs no introduction from me as this American-style restaurant has been in Malaysia for so many years. According to their official website, there are 35 branches in Malaysia alone. I personally don’t like dory fillets and my meal recently at The Manhattan Fish Market reminds me why I don’t like it. Since, it’s an invited review, I don’t have the option to order other thing other than dory fillet. I hope they scrap dory fillet from their menu.

6. Dolly Dim Sum

Dolly Dim Sum - Siew Mai

Dolly Dim Sum is a pork free dim sum restaurant. Their menu encompasses all of the traditional dim sum dishes that you know and love. Classic dim sum such as “Har Gao” prawn dumpling, tender chicken and prawn “Siew Mai” and freshly baked flaky egg tarts are among the special items they have here.

7. Franco Fine Cuisine

Franco - Fruity Pancake

Franco is a fusion concept of French – Japanese casual dining restaurant. Franco used to be a popular place and from what I heard, previously people would need to queue for at least 2 hours before they can enter the restaurant. There is no need for you to queue anymore as Franco had since opened many branches in Malaysia.

Read more about them here: Franco Fine Cuisine

8. La Juiceria

La Juiceria NU Sentral Mall

La Juiceria‘s juices are 100% pure, from fruits and vegetables. They claimed that no sugar, preservative or additive is added into any of their drinks. We tried the 350ml bottle of Chlorophyll Water / Alkaline Water Chlorophyll. Taste wise, its odd. The benefits to this water is that it can help you stay hydrated and it aids in detoxification. After drinking one bottle, it doesn’t seem to have much effect. I presume, you have to have a lot of this for a period of time before you can see any changes in you.

9. Kenny Rogers Roasters

Kenny Rogers Roasters

Kenny Rogers Roasters may not be so popular now, but it remains one of the good old roasted chicken restaurant in town. If you don’t know what to eat, Kenny Rogers Roasters is good choice to go to for a meal. It is not a fancy restaurant but it has got good roasted chicken and rich and moist muffins.

Let me know what other restaurants you think should be on this NU Sentral Food Guide list.
