Nanda Chicken is a Korean restaurant that serves Korean fried chicken with fondue-style snow cheese. Nanda Chicken Korean restaurant is always full when we go pass this area a few times. It was the crowd and the long queue that attracts our attention to try Nanda chicken last weekend.
The best time to come to Nanda Chicken Korean Restaurant is at odd hours. We were there at about 3:00pm that weekend for a late lunch at it was quite empty. Only 2 tables were occupied.
Nanda Chicken menu is quite straight forward. Their Korean fried chicken comes in 3 versions – crispy, cheesy and spicy. Basically all the versions consist of the same Korean fried chicken. The only difference between the 3 are the additional snow cheese and spicy sauce. The fried chicken comes either with bones or without bones. If you have difficulty deciding which flavour the choose, you may choose the half-half set.
The spicy Korean fried chicken is very spicy. Even VK who has a high tolerance of spicy food couldn’t take too much of it. The portions are quite big. If there are only the 2 of you, you can’t really try more things without wasting any of it. I even felt quite ‘jelak’ after having the same thing over and over again. (I know I shouldn’t complain about my first world problem, but we paid for it). If only the portion is much smaller.
Each set comes with some pickled stuffs and Korean kimchi. The kimchi was very good but we didn’t not re-order as the menu clearly stated that each small portion of kimchi is priced at RM10.00. We are not sure whether you will be charge of you order additional side items. But based on the menu, I think they do charge. So, better check with them before you order extras.
