If you are looking for a good Japanese restaurant at e-Curve, Mutiara Damansara, Minori Japanese Restaurant is the place to go. Headed by a Japanese chef also a Masterchef, Takahiro, Minori serves quality Japanese food at affordable prices. The word ‘Minori’ means harvest in Japanese. Minori Japanese Restaurant claims to provide the best seasonal produce from Japan’s harvest.
Located at Royale Chulan Damansara Hotel next to e-Curve, Minori Japanese Restaurant serves up to 250 authentic Japanese dishes. I have always wanted to try the food here and when Minori advertised their ala carte weekend buffet in Groupon, I bought the deal immediately. The advertised price for this ala carte weekend lunch buffet is only RM88.00 per person (original price RM140.00).
Even though Groupon deals are mostly heavily discounted deals, I used Shopback to increase my savings even further. I actually saved in total of RM116.68 (which is a lot). Look at how I saved my money by using Shopback and Groupon here.
Though there are many items on the normal menu, not every item is included in the ala-carte weekend buffet. There are about 54 items comprising of salads, sashimi, teppanyaki, rice dishes, sushi, noodles, grilled dishes, appetizer, soup, braised dishes, handrolls, hot pots, deep fried dishes and desserts.
There are two types of hot pots available here – Minori Kaki Kimuchi Nabe (oyster) and Sukiyaki Shabu Shabu (beef). Since Sukiyaki is quite common in Malaysia, we opted for the oyster hot pot.
Out of all the dishes we had here, the oysters are the ones we prefer the most. The oysters were soft and juicy.
We could taste the freshness of each oysters, though they were prepared in several different ways – oysters in hot pot and fried oyster. The only let down was that they did not serve sashimi oysters.
The assorted tempura was fried to perfection – lightly battered fried in boiling hot oil.
The chawanmushi was decent with a custardy texture. The steamed eggs contained ginko, a piece of chicken, pieces of mushrooms.
For desserts, we had the Green Tea (Macha) flavoured ice cream with red beans paste topped with pieces of strawberries.
Itachoco Monaka, a Japanese desert is another dessert I highly recommend. It is basically ice cream and a piece of chocolate sandwiched between two thin crisp wafers.
The restaurant is able to house up to 108 guests at any one time. It is a good place for group dinings and for business meetings. There are several private rooms for private functions or meetings as well.

Unfortunately all cookings that you had enjoyed were all done by Myanmar chefs not the Japanese Chef. The Japanese Chefbonly know how slice thinner Sashimi depending on his moods.

Guys, if you noticed the operating license, it was expired since 12/2015. The last I saw was still expiring. The chef is so rude someone when asking him about preparing Omakase for us. Never visited his place again. This restaurant sucks with long face Japanese chef. The old Japanese chef Hideaki Nakajima is better and friendly.
Should visit Jyu Raku at SS15 and Xenri Japanese Restaurant at old klang road.
