Mango Aloha at MidValley Megamall

November 29, 2015 by Apple Foodees Leave a Comment

There is a new dessert house in town and that is Mango Aloha. Mango Aloha as the name implies is a dessert place which uses mangoes as its star ingredient. From freshly cut mangoes to mango pudding, mango smoothies and mango ice cream, Mango Aloha has got it covered. Everything is made in house without using any artificial colouring and artificial preservatives.

The best way to savour a mango is on its own. And what better way to have it if not with some sticky rice and coconut cream. The mangoes at Mango Aloha are imported from Thailand and are mostly available all year round. This Thai mango is sweet with some stringy, fibrous texture.

The mango puddings are made from freshly cut mangoes and this is evident on Mango Aloha’s pudding. The fibrous texture of the mangoes can be seen clearly on the pudding itself. The mango pudding is served with chunks of mangoes with some cream on top.

Mango ice cream with assorted fruits and sago @ RM12.50. The mango ice cream is also made in house. It doesn’t have the best ice cream texture, but it was sufficient for me.

Mango with milk and sago pearls @ RM8.50 consists of a generous amount of mangoes chunks. Presentation wise, they have a bit to work on. But overall, it tastes good. It would be better if it is served cold instead of chill.

Fruit juices and fruit smoothies are also available here. You may choose and mix the fruits. The price for fruit juices is RM 10.50 while fruit smoothies RM12.00. Shown here is the mango and orange smoothies – a mix of sweet and sour tastes – not the best combination in my opinion as the sourish taste of the orange overpowered the mango taste.

If you like seeing how your dessert is prepared and plated, you would be delighted to know that you can actually witness everything here. Everything is layed out bare for you to see. There’s nothing to hide. Mango Aloha claims that they only use fresh ingredients and they literally mean it.

Aloha Mango is located at the first floor on the South Point of Midvalley – right in front of Forever 21. Seats are limited, but they do takeaways as well.
