Hwa Ga, the Korean BBQ Restaurant has just opened a new branch in Solaris Mont Kiara. For your information, Hwa Ga is another restaurant opened by San Nae Deul, another Korean restaurant which is known for Korean BBQ.
I don’t know why they want two different restaurants since they are offering the same thing, Korean BBQ, but I assume it is for tax purposes or for commercial purposes?
Anyway, they are currently having an a la carte BBQ Buffet (all you can eat) which is limited to 2 hours per sitting. The details are as follows:-
A la Carte BBQ Buffet【Lunch： 11am- 3pm ； Dinner 5pm- 11pm】
Lunch: RM 39 ++ children: RM 20 ++
Dinner: RM 45 ++ children: RM 25 ++
Pricing wise, it is actually quite affordable. There are actually quite a number of a la carte Korean BBQ buffet around Solaris Mont Kiara and the people here are spoilt for choice. All of them are currently priced around the above said price, so whether it is good or not, it all depends on how good the food and the service are.
After many meals at any BBQ restaurant, we noticed that marinated meats always taste better than non-marinated ones. So we always opt for the marinated meats. We ordered the Pork Belly, Cross Cut Rib, Squid and Pork Belly with Spicy Sauce, Beef with Soy Sauce, Marinated Squid and etc. The best meat on the menu has got to be the cross cut rib – which is always the most expensive cut of meat, if I am correct.It was very nice but it was a little tough to remove the meat from the bones.
This a la carte Korean BBQ buffet also comes with banchan. It was quite average. Kimchi was good though.
You may also top up the salad and sauces if you require more.
Another thing worth ordering on the menu has got to be their Korean Kimchi Soup. It was so good that I think that I could have this everyday for lunch. I couldn’t stop drinking this after I started it.
Overall, the food here is quite good considering the price we are paying. An a la carte buffet which you can order anything you want from the menu for only RM45++ (dinner) and RM39++ (lunch).
