Hermanos Rotisserie is a restaurant that specialises in rotisserie chickens. If you are in Shah Alam and do not know where to go for lunch or dinner, you should consider going to Hermanos Rotisserie in Shah Alam.
Rottiserie chickens are chickens that are skewered on a long solid rod and is being cooked over fire or a hot oven for long hours. By slow cooking the chickens for at least 3 hours, turning the metal rod the whole time, all the goodness and flavours are sealed in the chicken. The end result of Hermanos Rottiserie’s chicken is a tender and juicy chicken on the inside with a nice crisp layer on the outside.
At first I was a bit skeptical as there is only one flavour to the chicken rottiserie here. All Hermanos Rottiserie’s chickens are marinated with rosemary leaves, lemon juice, salt and pepper. But after trying their chicken, I can see why.
Hermanos Rottiserie prides themselves in using only good quality and fresh ingredients. In fact, this self-service restaurant uses chickens that weighs at least 1.5 kg (uncooked weight). That is about 450 to 500 grams more than what you can normally find in supermarkets. This is to allow their customers to taste the natural flavours of the chicken. The chicken doesn’t come with any gravy but you can add some garlic sauce and hot sauce to your chicken. You have to try it to know how good their rottiserie chicken is.
Hermanos Rotisserie gets their fresh chickens from a supplier that supplies halal chickens to big chain restaurants. They marinate their chickens for at least 24 hours before they are cooked for another 3 hours and thereafter served to customers. A quarter chicken is priced at RM7.50, half-chicken is RM15.00 and whole chicken is RM30.00.
Side dishes are separate from the chicken and there are plenty of side dishes you could choose here. French fries, special rice, mix vegetables and onion rings are some of the side dishes on the menu. Each are priced between RM3.90 to RM4.90 a bowl.
If you prefer beef, there are beef burgers here. We ordered the Bacon CheeseBurger which is priced at RM16.00. You can customise the toppings for the beef burger. You can pick and choose any or all of the 13 toppings they have here. All burgers come wrapped in an aluminium foil and paper to keep the burgers warm.
For dessert, we had the brownies with ice cream @ RM9.90. The portion is quite big and is good for sharing between 2 to 3 persons.
Cappucino, no coffee artwork or all that nonsense which no one needs. Just good and aromatic coffee.
Overall, we were genuinely surprise with how good the food here is. Hermanos Rotisserie are located right in front of the surau and behind Celcom at Seksyen 9 of Shah Alam.
