Gyutaro Yakiniku Restaurant at 3rd Mile Square is a Japanese BBQ restaurant along Old Klang Road. Gyutaro Yakiniku Restaurant is a pork-free Japanese Restaurant and is one of the restaurant under JK Group. FYI, JK Group also owns KNK (Penang and Kuala Lumpur) and Japin (Penang).
Previously we had had a great experience at KNK at Sri Haratamas, and upon knowing that Gyutaro Yakiniku Restaurant is from the same group, we knew we are in for a treat. The restaurant was empty however when we arrive this afternoon and we were the only customers that afternoon.
Their lunch sets starts from RM50.00 onward and based on the price, the portion is quite good. We ordered the L17 Set – ____ @ RM58.00 which also comes with salad, soup, rice and green tea.
We also ordered Combo A @ RM38.16 from their a la carte menu to see the difference between the normal set and their lunch set. It is clear that the difference in the cut and the portion of the meat for the lunch set is lesser than the normal set. But for me, I think it’s sufficient as the earlier comes with rice.
Apart from the above, we also ordered the Beef Tongue (Top) and Bottom, each for RM9.00 from their lunch set. The difference between the two are clear. One without any fat and the other with a little fat.
Both are equally good but the Beef Tongue (bottom) is more flavourful because it has a bit of marbling / visible fat.
Gyutaro Yakiniku Restaurant is located on the first floor, right above Yasin Curry House. There are smoking and non-smoking areas. If you require a private room, they have a few rooms here as well.
Overall, we are quite happy with our meal here. If you are around Old Klang Road and are looking for a good Japanese BBQ Restaurant, this is the place for you. You should not have any trouble looking for parking as there are ample parking space here.
