Satay is a skewered, seasoned grilled meat served with peanut sauce. Even though satay are commonly found anywhere in Malaysia, good ones are hard to come by. If you would like to try the best satay in Malaysia, Kajang is the place to go. But if you are working and staying in Kuala Lumpur, where can you go then? So far, I have not found any good satay around that is as good as Kajang satay.
Recently, I tried Hj Senen’s satay. It is easy to find Hj Senen as it is right in front of Menara Celcom along Jalan Tun Razak. If you are coming from Jalan Kuching, just keep left and go straight after the National Library. You would not miss it as you would be able to see a few men grilling with really big fire.

There are not many choices of satay here, they have only chicken, beef or heart which costs about RM1.00 a stick.
The satay was quite good. They served us with really chunky meat. No mix of fats and meat together (Well, at least we didn’t have any). The set back of this satay was that they were quite charred and we had to scrape off the burned parts. In terms of the sauce, I still prefer Kajang satay’s sauce. But overall here, it was good.
