Folks in Damansara Uptown would know that Brother John’s burger is the place to go for a burger or two. We recently drop by at his burger stall which used to be in front of Kopitiam Bintang coffee shop but was surprised to know that BURGER-MBIRA had just taken over their spot. Apparently, the coffee shop owner had actually hunted for the best burger stall and invited them to set up a burger stall there. Whether it is BURGER-MBIRA’s burger or Brother John’s burger, the most important thing is the burger must be good.
There is a long list of burgers available here and you could also customise your burger here. We decided that the ones listed should be the best combination and we ordered the Extra Big and Taste @ RM10.00 and the Chicken Spicy Deluxe @ RM7.00 under their special menu. The Extra Big and Taste is a great combination of beef patty, green lettuce, sauce, onion, cucumber, mayonnaise, cheese + hash brown and a slice of chicken. This burger was huge, it was packed with flavours and it makes my tummy happy.
BURGER-MBIRA is not a new player in the burger industry. They had been in the business for quite some time and had operated from a burger stall in Shah Alam – famous for their blue mayonnaise. Initially, the blue mayonnaise is included in the menu but it was dropped altogether as the folks in Damansara Uptown does not want their mayonnaise changed. The Chicken Spicy Deluxe burger here, is a hot and spicy one. It was loaded with spicy chicken, green lettuce, sauce, onion, cucumber, cheese and lots of mayonnaise.
Here are some of the other items they have on their menu – Lava Cheesy Wedges and Prawn Burger. We didn’t have the chance to try them yet but will try it the next time we come here.
If I were to compare between Brother John’s burger and BURGER-MBIRA, I would say both are equally good. Apparently, Brother John is now operating from a food truck and can be found at the corner of the row of shops close to the roundabout at Damansara Uptown. For good ramly burger, I recommend you to go for Brother John’s whereas for some customised kick-ass burger, go to BURGER-MBIRA.
