Wong Poh Restaurant at Bukit Mayang Mas, Petaling Jaya

Posted by Apple Foodees On June - 21 - 2011

Wong Poh Seafood Restaurant is famous for their crab and seafood dishes. It’s been a while since the last time I had crabs. So, last weekend, we went to Wong Poh. The restaurant was full when we arrive around 7.30pm due to the weekend crowd. We managed to find our table at the air-conditioned area only after about 15 minutes. So the wait wasn’t bad afterall.

We ordered their Cheese and Butter Crabs. This is one of the must-order item here.

The buns doesn’t come together with the crabs and must be ordered separately. The sweet buns are best taken together with the cheese and butter crabs. They both compliments each other really well.

Shumatsu Japanese Buffet Weekend Dinner at Eyuzu, Eastin Hotel, PJ

Posted by Apple Foodees On March - 6 - 2011

Currently Jogoya is having a promotion for their supper buffet, where for one paying customer, the other partner will get to eat for free. Weekdays only. That sounds like a good deal but there were so many bookings that we only manage to book for a table for the following week. So we ended up going to Eastin Hotel’s Eyuzu, Shumatsu Japanese Buffet Dinner instead.

Eyuzu is also having a promotion for their weekend Sunday buffet dinner, 4 person free 1 person. RM82.00++ (adult) and RM41.00++ (child) from 6.30pm to 10.00pm. The ambiance in Eyuzu is quite pleasant. Although the restaurant is full, at least, it is not too crowded. This is so much better than the other Japanese Restaurant in Mont Kiara, Tenji.

Salmon-Sashimi

The sashimis are really fresh. I love the salmon sashimi the most.

Fresh-Prawns

Don’t the prawns look good? If you love mashed potatoes, I do recommend you trying them. You can find the mashed potatoes at the salad station next to the sashimis. Their Shark fin soup is comparatively good.

As for their Teriyaki Unagi this dish is the bomb! If you are a unagi fan, I’m sure you will love it. You can find this at their mixed dishes station, located near Eyuzu’s main entrance.

Their tempura station are located behind their sashimi station. Tempuras are prepared upon order so although you need to wait for them to cook it, you can order any tempura ingredients of your choice. The best part of it is that they are prepared fresh!

Tempura

Next to their tempura section, is the teppanyaki section. Like their tempura section, all teppanyakis are also prepared fresh. You may order meat, seafood or vegetables of your choice here. Read the rest of this entry »

Full House Lifestyle Store at Niu Ze Xui, Ara Damansara

Posted by Apple Foodees On September - 27 - 2009

Full House is a very unique Western-style restaurant located in NZX (Niu Ze Xui). The restaurant was decorated beautifully. You can see that they do pay attention to every little details to their decorations they have here. Even the menu was hand-drawn too. Hand-drawn and printed of course. Although their selection of appetizers, main course and desserts are limited, but it doesn’t really matter as long as the quality of their food is good.

There is a mini-cooper right infront of their restaurant. Also, the waiters and waitresses were dressed like maids.

Nasi Lemak Village Park at Damansara Utama

Posted by Apple Foodees On September - 13 - 2009

It is not easy to find a good nasi lemak. Personally I love nasi lemak with lots of spicy sambal. If possible, spicy sambals with onions. And of course a nice juicy chicken thigh to go with it.

I’ve heard that the nasi lemak at Village Park Restaurant is one of the best nasi lemak in Petaling Jaya. So I had to come and try it. If you are quite fussy with your food, you may queue up with the rest of the people at the counter to choose your nasi lemak accompaniment.

Nasi Lemak Goreng Ayam

I chosed a piece of seasoned fried chicken and sambal prawns. The price for this palate is RM10.30. Quite expensive if you asked me.

Other items such as Hard Boiled Eggs are available too. There are sold for RM1.80 for two eggs. All you need to do is just to crack them up and there you have it. If things gets messy, you can always wash your hands at the newly build washing area located just outside of the restaurant.
