Puzzini Swedish Pizza at Damansara Utama, Petaling Jaya

Posted by Apple Foodees On September - 21 - 2010

Always order the restaurant’s favourite dish or most popular dish whenever possible“. This is one of the most important thing that you must do every time you dine in any restaurant. Not every restaurant is good in every dish. They might be a master in preparing certain dishes and also at the same time, an amateur in another. This is what I’ve learned after having a dinner at Puzzini Swedish Pizza in Damansara Utama, PJ.

Although the name strongly suggest that they are good in pizza and customers should order it, we didn’t. Is it a mistake? I do not know. I have yet to try their pizza yet. But as for the dishes we’ve ordered, I am quite disappointed with some of their food.

Puzzini’s news articles are pasted all over in front of their restaurant. Afraid that their customers might actually miss it, they even attached these newspaper articles in their menu. As Puzzini were in the press for many times, we couldn’t refrain ourselves from ordering the dish suggested by them. Scheweizer Chop is the must order dish. Priced at RM17.80, it is a decent course which comes with chicken breast meat stuffed with cheese, mushroom and sauce.

Restoran Sup Lembu Tangkak in Jalan Imbi, Kuala Lumpur

Posted by Apple Foodees On September - 19 - 2010

More and more restaurants are opening their business in other states to save the people’s trouble from travelling all the way to the main restaurants to try their special dish. Restoran Sup Lembu Tangkak is one of them. To be really honest, I wouldn’t know about this until I came across their branch in Jalan Imbi, Kuala Lumpur. Thanks to VK who recommended me. Originating from Tangkak, Johor, they specialises in beef soup noodles.

beef+tendon

I do not particularly like internal organs, hence, whenever possible, I would always opt for the meat only. So I ordered myself beef and tendon served with kuey teow. This particular bowl is RM8.90.

Bumbu Bali at Bandar Puteri Puchong

Posted by Apple Foodees On December - 14 - 2009

My first visit to Bumbu Bali left me spellbound. The flavourful meals, the colourful settings of the restaurant, the friendly waitresses, everything was almost perfect.

The juicy, succulent Lamb Chop is one of my favourite dish here. It was crispy on the outside, but on the inside, it was very juicy. It was beautifully seasoned and full of flavours.

Saba Middle Eastern Restaurant at Cyberjaya

Posted by Apple Foodees On October - 17 - 2009

There are not many good restaurant in Cyberjaya. Many Middle Eastern restaurant started “mushrooming” around Cyberjaya lately. I found one particular Middle Eastern restaurant very appetising.

Their food presentation is quite bad actually but the taste is fantastic. This is the Lamb Kebab Rice. The long grain rice were very fragrant coupled with nicely seasoned lamb topped with some flavourful spices and onions. Everything works together and it gives you a lovely combination of flavour. It was magnificient. The price for this is RM12.

Chicken Kebab and Pita Bread was not impressive on the other hand. The chicken kebab does not go very well with the fries. It was somewhat odd actually to have the fries there. Nevertheless, the chicken kebab was good on its own.
