Malaysia Food Blog – Apple Foodees

Malaysia Food Blog: Apple Foodees’ gastronomic adventures on Malaysian food & astounding travel experiences.

Tenji is one of Malaysia’s fast growing Japanese Buffet Restaurant. They had recently just opened another branch in Puchong to cater for more customers. Currently, Tenji is having their Chinese New Year 2011 buffet promotion. Their dinner package which starts from 6pm – 9.30pm is priced at only RM88++. Customers coming with more family and friends get to enjoy more from Sunday to Thursday as on these days, every second pax will only have to pay half the price which is RM44++.

This is my second time to Tenji, and I must say that Tenji had made some improvements. First of all, their services. They are much faster now in cooking and delivering food to customers. Secondly, service charges and government taxes are not calculated from the original amount before deduction the promotional price. Thirdly, the queue before getting your table are very much shorter than it used to be.

Below are some of the dishes we had. We started off with Cheese Baked Oysters.

Shabu Shabu Buffet City is a Japanese steamboat restaurant. Opened in Bandar Puteri, Puchong, this restaurant offers not only ala-carte Japanese cuisines but also an all you can eat Japanese steamboat buffet.

I got to say, Shabu Shabu Buffet City offers one of the cheapest buffets around at only less than RM30.00 per person. Well, of course, here you won’t get the awesome service and food choices like other Japanese buffet restaurants like Tenji or Kampachi, but only a decent choices of ingredients. All you need to do, is just pay at the counter at the lower floor and take yourself up on the lift to enjoy your “shabu shabu”.

Nikko Hotel 6 Course Meal at Jalan Ampang

Hotel Nikko

Now is the time again for us to attend Annual Dinners organised by the employers for the staffs. I am pretty sure there is many more dinners to come as we’re approaching the end of this millennium 2009 and welcome the new year 2010. I had recently attended a dinner at Nikko Hotel located at Jalan Ampang just a heartbeat away from the landmark of Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) and the Petronas Twin Towers, two of the world’s tallest buildings.

Name :- Hotel Nikko Kuala Lumpur
Address :- 165, Jalan Ampang, 50450 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Phone No :- (603) 2161 1111
Website :- http://www.hotelnikko.com.my/

This is the entrance ticket and I got this not so lucky number 0426 that did not win me anything. In every event, there is bound to be a theme for it. The theme for the evening was “Wild Wild West Night”. As the name goes, you can imagine the selective ranges of costumes people would think of to wear for the evening.

Japanese Buffet at Munakata Ramen Japanese Restaurant

Posted by Apple Foodees On October - 6 - 2009

Japanese buffet is quite popular among Malaysians. Munakata Ramen at Jalan Yap Kwan Seng recently offers an unlimited ala carte Japanese buffet dinner promotion. The Japanese buffet promotion is priced at RM60+ for an adult and RM35+ for a young person aged 4 to 10 years old.

Salmon Sashimi aka fresh sliced salmon is the most appealing dish in the menu. Well, I have to admit that I love rare salmon. Just dip it with some wasabi soaked with soya sauce and pop it into your mouth. Slowly taste the freshness of the fish inside your mouth.
