Restaurant MCY at Desa Aman Puri, Kepong

Last week, I finally get to go for a nice breakfast meal, thanks to Labour’s Day of course. I have been really busy on Saturdays and Sundays due to my morning classes. So VK and I decided to go for some dim sum for breakfast.

Prawn.Dumplings

There are not many choices of good dim sum restaurants around Kepong. And Restaurant MCY is an exception. Not only it is good, they also serves their dim sums fresh. Each dim sums are cooked upon order. Priced at Rm3.90 each, one of the dim sums we ordered is their Prawn Dumplings wrapped with Taufu.

Lala.Dumplings

Lala Dumplings is quite extraordinary and cool. Something that I don’t expect to find in a dim sum restaurant. Beautifully decorated, this dumpling is one of my favourite here.

OtakOtak.Dumplings

Another unusual dim sum is their Otak-otak Dumplings wrapped with cabbage made wanton skin.

Steamed.Pork

One not to be missed is their Steam Pork “pai kut” which is really tasty and good. The portion is quite small though.

Prawn.Dumpling

More Siu Mai Dumplings, beautifully decorated with prawns on top.

Fried.Dumplings

Fried Prawn Dumplings – best eaten with MCY’s very own mayonnaise.

Prawn.Cheong.Fun

Cheong Fun with prawns – the skin is a bit too thick, so I don’t recommend this.

We had had a bit of trouble getting here at first, as we are not familiar with this area. So here is some tips for those of you who are also unfamiliar with this place but would like to try MCY’s dim sum. Just look out for “STOLEN cafe” (opposite of McDonald’s) which can be seen on the main road as you are coming from PJ and go in all the way straight until the end. MCY is located at the end of the row of shops. If you like satay too, Sen Kee, famous for their duck satay can also be found here.
