It’s been a very long time since I went back to Kei Tak Sek (KTZ) thanks to the variety of choice available around Kepong Baru for dim sum. It hasn’t change much in terms of their menu and the choices of desserts. Their main favourite item here is still their mango loh.
There are many fried items available at KTZ. I wouldn’t recommend you any of them as I did not actually tried all of them. But if I must recommend any, I would ask you to try their Lo Bak Gou or also known as their yam cake. Taste wise, it taste very ordinary but in terms of price, it is the only one which is value for money – a dish which could fill up your stomach.
Others, such as siew mai, paper wrapped chicken, fish cakes and etc. comes in very small portions. I didn’t quite like it when I had to pay so much but in the end, I still feel quite hungry. Having a bowl of noodle or a plate of chicken rice is way much more value for money.
As I have said earlier, the favourite item on their menu is their mango loh. If you prefer warm desserts; peanuts and red beans tong suis are also available here.
Overall, our bill came up to about RM28 for a meal for two. So if you are looking for a quick meal, do drop by at their stall. It is located along the corner of Jalan 7 or Jalan Kepong Baru, close to the traffic light opposite the Kepong Baru old hawker centre.
