Honeymoon at Sunway Pyramid

Posted by Apple Foodees On September - 14 - 2009

My Honeymoon has recently opened a new branch in Sunway Pyramid. With its existing outlets in One Utama and in Kepong (same row as the newly shifted Public Bank in Kepong), they now have a total of 3 outlets in Malaysia. And according to their website, they will be opening another two branches in IOI Boulevard and Bukit Bintang.

Well, enough for the introduction. Let’s head on to see what are some of the desserts they serve here. Sweet Ball Peanut Cream was served first. There are three choices of sweet ball flavours from which you can choose; peanut, custard and sesame. As a fan of peanut cream, I felt that the cream was not thick enough for me. Sweet Ball Peanut Cream was priced at RM8 per bowl.

Mango Pancake. Fresh mangoes were wrapped together with whipped creams in thin slices of mango flavoured wrap.

This is how it looks like on the inside. It may look gross here but this is the best we can do with a blunt knive. LOL.

If you are not a fan of mangoes, you may try their Durian Pancake which is also priced at RM9 for two pieces. As you may have noticed, they did not sting when it comes to making their the durian pancake. Equal amount of durian flesh and cream were wrapped together.

Mellow Fellow is one of the special dessert created by Honeymoon‘s chef who was from Hong Kong. Our Mellow Fellow has layers of mango, pastry, crystal grass jelly, q fruit, blueberry sauce and light cream topped with chocolate chip ice cream. The pinkish cream you see here is actually the blue berry flavoured sauce. This dessert was priced at RM16. There are 3 choices of ice cream where you can choose from; vanilla, chocolate, and chocolate chip.

If you are a durian lover and at the same time a very health conscious person, then you may try their Sweet Memory dessert. Sweet Memory is best served cold. Purple glutinous rice and fresh Phillipines durian were included in this dessert.

Look at the amount of purple rice they served with this dessert. According to Honeymoon, the purple rice was actually from Thailand and it is a healthy food. This is something new for me. LOL. The price for this item is RM13.

Wanting to try more from Honeymoon, we ordered their Coffee Pudding@ RM6.00. Nothing special about this pudding though. Its just coffee in pudding style.

Mango Glutinous Roll@ RM9.

If you are too lazy to visit their branches, you may also order their dessert online. But there may be terms and condition that applies. So order at your own risk.

My Honeymoon is located at LG1, 118A Lower Ground 1 of the Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall.

One thing that is quite disturbing though, is their mascott, Mellow Fellow. Notice its shape?
