I have always wanted to learn how to marinate and fry a good plate of fried chicken. How to marinate it is one thing and how to fry it is another thing altogether. Both must be done in the correct way in order for the results to be perfect. Well, I don’t think I would be able to share with you any recipe for fried chicken, but I can certainly share with you my latest find on a really good fried chicken rice shop.
If you are staying in Segambut, Kepong or Sentul, you would probably know Segambut Chicken Rice stall by now. They are well-known for their fried chicken rice.
We ordered the lower part of the chicken which was priced at RM8.00. Although it is quite pricey compared to our normal steamed or roasted chicken rice, the portion here is quite big. The fried chicken was marinated to perfection. It was crunchy on the outside, and juicy and tender on the inside. This is so good that I can eat this everyday.
Service was quite fast as the chickens were fried before-hand and will be cutted and served upon order. If you like your chicken spicy, they have their own custom made chili sauce.
Segambut Chicken Rice is only open on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. I got to warn you, if you are not familiar with this place, you might not find Segambut Chicken Rice. So you might want to do some research on Google map beforehand. To help you out, to reach Segambut Chicken Rice, from Public Bank Segambut, go straight infront of Public Bank until you reach the end of the junction. Segambut Chicken Rice is located at the corner on your right under some trees.
