Coffee Club is a popular franchise coffee shop. This place is almost similar to our local coffee shop, the famous Old Town Coffee Shop or PapaRich Malaysian Delights Coffee Shop. Here, they serve many variety of their local Thai food as well as international food such as lamb shank and steaks. Since this is the first time we step into Coffee Club, I decided to try their Pad Thai, one of the must eat Thai food whenever you are in Thailand. Pad Thai is basically noodles fried with eggs, nuts, spring onions and chicken. If you do not like chicken, here you can choose to have pork or beef or even vegetarian pad thai. It is quite similar to the Malaysian char kuey teow, except that pad thai contains a lot of sugar and also nuts.
I like Pad Thai but it is a little bit too sweet for me. The more you eat, the more you feel the sweetness. It is too sweet towards the end that I couldn’t finish the last few bites. Since this is Coffee Club, I also ordered their signature coffee. I ordered their cappuccino. It was quite good. It is not sour and the coffee is just right.
You may call me bias, but I do find that Espresso Lab serves better coffee compared to Coffee Club. But if I were to compare with Old Town coffee or PapaRich, I would say, each and everyone of them are unique and distinct in their own ways. I wonder whether Coffee Club has any plans on opening their branches in Malaysia. It would be good for consumers as consumers would have more options and better coffees.
