Wing Heong Roasted Duck Rice at Serdang Lama

Since my younger days, I’ve always patronised the duck rice in Kepong Baru. However, after I’ve been introduced to Wing Heong’s roasted duck rice, my perception towards my old favourite duck rice changed. They are not my number 1 duck rice restaurant anymore. Wing Heong’s duck rice is not only delicious, the prices here are reasonable too. Well, it all depends on the portion that you are ordering of course. My lunch that day costs about RM12.00 only. So what did we have here?

We ordered a meal for two which includes roasted duck and BBQ pork or “Char Siew“. The pork was beautifully marinated and barbequed until there was a slight charred at the end. Complimenting with it were some sticky sweet sauce which will definitely tickle your taste buds. It was absolutely delicious.

The star of the show here is Wing Heong’s roast duck. The duck was juicy. The meat was tender and the best thing of all is that you don’t need to enhance the taste by dipping the meat into the sauce as it was so good that you can just eat it on its own. Well, I love tasty food, so I just dipped away.

Some other thing that you can order here are their double boiled soups. Whenever I am here, I would order their soup. There is nothing special about it but it is something to quench your thirst while you enjoy Wing Heong’s delicious roast meats. If you are not a fan of soup, do try their sour plum with lime drink. It is very refreshing and mind you, they do not skimp on the amount of sour plum in preparing the drink, contrary to other places that I’ve been to.

The tricky part is the way to get here. Further there is also a limited parking space around the restaurant. Wing Heong is located somewhere opposite of the Petronas petrol station in Serdang Lama town. So if you are in a rush, do try to come a bit earlier as the place will be full by noon.
