This is my second visit to Shah Alam’s Ramadhan market: Ramadhan Food Market 2009 at Shah Alam.
Shah Alam’s ramadhan market is one of the largest ramadhan market in Malaysia. There are more than a hundred stalls here. Hence, it is common to see several stalls selling the same food. Therefore, it is really your luck to choose the better stall to get your favourite Malaysian food.
My favourite has got to be chickens. You may find barbequed ones, grilled ones, “golek” ones and etc…
Chicken golek is quite extraordinary to me, as I cannot find it anywhere in Kepong. But I guess it’s just a massive production of “Kenny Roger’s” style of cooking. Well, of course, the price here is cheaper. It’s only RM17 for the whole bird and RM9 for half a bird.
Below are some of the pictures of the other foods offered here. Murtabak.
Tepung pelita.
Skewers of finger licking mutton or chicken skewed together with some green and red peppers.
Popiah.
If you are thinking of visiting here, do come before Hari Raya.
