The Coffee Connoisseur (TCC), as the name implies is an expert able to appreciate a field; specially in fine arts. It seems that they are very good in their coffee. Well, as I had my coffee fix in the morning, I opted not to have any that night.
The Devil’s Chocolate caught my attention the minute I stepped into the restaurant. As a huge fans of chocolate I had to get my hands on this one. It has a thin layer of dark chocolate above, followed by coffee mousse, and another layer of dark chocolate cake at the bottom layer. Sweet red raspberries and a chocolate cookie were used as decorative toppings for the cake. This heart melting Devil’s Chocolate was priced at $6.80 per piece.

Wanting more cakes, we ordered the Organic Soy Cheesecake @ $6.40 per piece. The cake was very flavourful. It was very “cheesy”. If you like cheese I do recommend you to try this piece. The texture of the cake was soft and it has a layer of cookie-like cake at the bottom of the cake. Not sure what it was made of, but it may be made of organic soy?

Strawberry Yoghurt Roll was a cute one. It was decorated beautifully with half sliced strawberry along with a leaf-like chocolate slice. The cake was a bit sweet to my likings though. This piece of cake was priced at $ 5.80.

Having opted out coffee, I ordered the Oreo Milkshake @ $ 7.70. I must say that there is nothing revolutionary about this drink. But one thing that I must point out is their presentation skills. If you claim to be a coffee connoisseur, should you only be good in making coffee only? I don’t think so. My glass of milkshake was overflowing at the side. It was quite a disappointment in terms of fine art.

Nutty Mocha Frappe was very nutty and yummy. I just love chewing the nuts while sipping the mocha frappe. This drink was priced a little bit on the expensive side, SGD $ 8.20.

Azuki Freeze was a major disappointment. Don’t bother about the details. Order everything else except this. Total damage = $ 7.20 a glass.

The Coffee Connoisseur has many branches around Singapore. I am sure you will have no trouble looking for them. If you must patronise TCC, do order their coffee. I am sure, they will not use that name if there are not good at it. So have fun folks!
