Buckingham Palace is one of the must visit place in London. It is the official London residence of the British monarch. According to a reliable source, if you are lucky, you may see the King going pass here waving at everyone. This is quite a popular area not only for tourists but it is also popular among the locals.
If you don’t see any of the royals, you may see their statute instead. Standing together here are King George VI (1895 - 1952) and Queen Elizabeth (1900 - 2002).
Look at the beautiful gardens surrounding the front of the palace. Such a beautiful sight.
There are many funny looking statutes around. Even the gates has it. I am not sure what statute is this, but it does resembles a lion holding a shield. Maybe it is there to protect the palace.

Visitors may only view the palace from the gates and the gates are heavily guarded with police.
While you are here, you may witness the change of the palace guard -“Changing of The Guard”.
But if you are not fortunate enough to witness this event, you may witness the smaller version scene of the change of the guard not very far from the palace.

On the weekends, this place would be close to traffic to allow visitors to walk around freely around the area without worrying about the passing traffic.
Look at the massive size of the gate towards the Buckingham Palace.
As I do not know what is the name of this gate, I named it “The Golden Gate” as it looks like it was coated with gold. Look how it shines under the sun. This “Golden Gate” separates Green Park and the Buckingham Palace.

Statutes - this is a man with its lion. Guarding the palace I guess.
He is so attractive that this girl had to climb up to take a picture with him!
Even kids loves him too. And not to forget, the birds enjoys his company too!
