Wild Boar Sausages at Raohe Street Night Market in Taipei, Taiwan

Posted by Apple Foodees On September - 24 - 2009

Taiwan is famous for their street food. Almost every night market in Taipei, Taiwan there are many stalls selling pork sausages. I have to admit that I did not try all the pork sausages they have here. But this is one of the best I’ve tried in Taiwan. It far exceeds my expectation before I came to Taiwan. The Malaysian ones were not as good as these ones.

Located in Raohe Street Night Market in Taipei, this is the best wild boar meat sausage I’ve ever tried. The colourful street lights of Raohe Night Market makes our experience here in Taipei more exciting. Lots of street food were being sold here.

The sausage meat were very compact and delicious. There are very little fats, if you compare this with those that were processed before-hand. Their business were so good that we had to queue for 10 minutes for our order to be ready.

The Wild Boar sausages were barbequed with charcoal until the outer layer becomes crispy. The burned areas were then trimmed before the sausages were served to their customers.

Notice the way they sliced the sausages? It is because the meat were so compact it must be cut in between so that the sausage will be cooked quickly. Oh boy! It looks so yummy!
